IRA Charitable Rollover
For anyone 70 ½ or older, who is looking for a way to make a difference in helping further TCM’s mission and interested in a way to lower the income and taxes from IRA withdrawals, consider an IRA Charitable Rollover. In 2016 Congress enacted a permanent extension of the IRA charitable rollover. As a result, individuals age 70 ½ or older can make gifts directly from their IRA to charity in 2015, 2016 and beyond. It is a way you can help yourself and assist greatly toward the work of TCM.
Benefits of an IRA Charitable Rollover
* Avoid taxes on transfers of up to $100,000 from your IRA to TCM and/or other favorite missions
* Satisfy your required minimum distribution for the year
* Reduce your taxable income, even if you do not itemize deductions
* Make a gift that is not subject to the 50% deduction limits on charitable gifts
* Help further the work and mission of TCM and other missions you support
How an IRA Charitable Rollover gift works
1. Contact your IRA plan administrator to make a gift from your IRA to TCM and other 501(c)3 organizations
2. Your IRA funds will be directly transferred to TCM to help continue our important work
3. Please note that IRA charitable rollover gifts do not qualify for a charitable deduction
