Student Testimonies
Thank you for your gifts to TCM. We are grateful for your partnership in equipping Europeans and Central Asians to reach their own people for Christ. Here are brief testimonies from three of TCM's students who would like to share how their lives have been transformed by Christ, the ministry He has called them to and how the training received from TCM impacts their lives and ministries.
Jana from Czech Republic
"After I became a Christian I started being active in the youth group as one of the leaders. In both our small group and youth group I had to deal with many issues like self-inflicted injuries or suicide attempts. This was the main reason I wanted to find a biblical school that could equip me to deal with these issues and where I could study biblical counseling. The need for biblical counselors is extreme in Czech Republic. There are only three I can recommend to people asking me whether I know a good counselor and these are overloaded with requests. I have taken Counseling Techniques so far and the course provided solid, healthy theory and practice as well. I was very thankful for what I could learn and practice during this course. It is very relevant for me in my contact with fellow Christians or unbelievers. There are a lot of people we know struggling in their marriages and other areas."
Sergiu from Moldova
"At the moment of birth, I was paralyzed at the central nervous system which made me a person with disabilities for life. In the winter of 2002, at a meeting for ministers, a Christian brother shared that God spoke to his heart to start a ministry among people with disabilities. I told him I had been praying for such a project for more than two years. I had a written project and it was time to start. People with disabilities have low money support and most of them need someone to help them. At the beginning we had nothing to start this ministry, but we prayed, wrote the project and began speaking about it to many people. Gradually, people became interested in the project and we started to work. We work as a team and take the Gospel to people with disabilities. We offer them various support: food, clothes, medicine, support, cans, mattresses, furniture and other things. For their spiritual well-being, we do summer camps, evangelism, various meetings and Bible Study through correspondence. The main goal is to reach out to people with disabilities from Moldova. Every year we work with 100-150 persons. During the 4 years of activity, many souls came to Christ and study the Bible. Many of them attend the church regularly and changed their thinking and lifestyle. I continue this ministry at present and wish from all my heart to do it. We had a Bible Study camp this past summer with 120 participants. Sixty of them received Christ and dedicated their lives to the Lord. Please pray for this ministry!
The Leadership and Management course at TCM has influenced me most of all. This course has helped me to think about how to better organize my ministry, maintaining discipline of personal relationship with God. Besides that, mainly all the courses were useful for me and my ministry. I took something useful for myself from each course. For example, after taking the course of Systematic Theology with Dr. Nullens, I realized how important it is for every preacher to constantly, deeply study theological literature, for personal growth."
Student ministering in Caucasia
"I work with youth and have opened a youth club. Parallel to this, we started the project, The Beginning of Life, in the State University, as well as in one of the schools. The project includes lectures on the dangers of drugs, alcohol, smoking, human trafficking, as well as premarital sex, and many other topics. Through this project we have a direct relationship with the youth training facilities, where we learn from them and if possible, talk about our faith. We have some 2,000 young people.
I am very grateful for the support and the professors of TCM. Thank you for your dedication and sacrifice. Thanks to the sponsors, who find finances in this difficult time for our learning. Great blessings to you brothers and sisters."
