Leaders for Life: Heeding the Call

In 2000 a major campaign, "Leaders for Life," was launched. The purpose of phase one of this campaign was to provide for needed upgrades for the Haus Edelweiss campus, including the purchase of two adjacent properties, a new addition of a classroom and housing for faculty, and extensive renovations to the "Big Haus" on campus. President Tony Twist announced the completion of phase one, with a goal of $1,900,000, at the TCM banquet at the North American Christian Convention, July, 2003.

We are now in phase two of the campaign: "Leaders for Life: Heeding the Call." The original impetus for the formation of the Institute was in response to the "call" of leaders throughout Eastern Europe to offer graduate theological education to emerging church leaders and church planters. Now we have an additional "call" from students and graduates to come into Central Asian Republics with similar preparation for leadership.

Thus, we want to "heed the call" from Eastern Europe and Central Asia. To do that adaquately, we need

  • Funding for scholarships (TCM Annual Fund; Haus Edelweiss Development Council; Planned Giving) for students in Eastern Europe and Central Asia who are unable to pay tuition.
  • Funding for resources (library and other materials to assist their preparation for service) both in Austria and at the in-country teachting sites.
  • Funding for faculty additions and development to provide our faculty with the resources necessary to prepare these leaders for service.
  • Funding for the newly formed Leadership and Church Planting Center.

The total goal for "Leaders for Life: Heeding the Call" is $1,900,000.
