I did not know much about TCM prior to signing up as a short-term worker. Through the website, I learned about TCM’s impact across Eastern Europe and beyond. I previously served on short-term teams that traveled to countries in Eastern Europe and saw the desperate need for Christ's love to be spread there. I was excited to contribute to this goal however I could.

From the moment we arrived, the attitude of service was infectious. In our jet-lagged stupor, our bags were taken to our rooms and a warm lunch was served. Haus Edelweiss is the Body of Christ at work. There are teachers and pastors, students and missionaries, maintenance and kitchen crews, all serving together to love God and love others. While preparing a meal, I could have looked at it as just another daily task. Instead, by witnessing the love in the preparation, I came to see how a meal can show someone who lives half a world away that we are all “in it together.”
