Why Give to TCM?

TCM exists through the financial support of churches and individuals who share our commitment to prepare men and women for Christian leadership within their own countries and cultures.

We believe it is a better strategy to prepare nationals to lead the church in their own country than to rely on non-national leadership. The nationals know the language, understand culture, are already involved in ministry, and will work for a lifetime in the region. Americans frequently spend a long time learning the language and culture, and then are only able to stay for a short time.

Another strategy is to take the leadership preparation where the emerging leaders are - in their home countries. If we brought them to the USA to study, the costs would be as much as five times more than through TCM. Also, many of them would end up staying in America, thus a loss to their effectiveness in their own country because of "brain drain."

So, your contributions to TCM are a smart, cost effective way to serve God's people throughout Eastern Europe and Central Asia!
