| Dear Friend, |
|
There is but one commandment in the Commission. One Divine Imperative. A very blessed simplicity beyond complexity. I believe Jesus knew we would need a focus. One reigning paradigm to "undistract" us. So He gives us an identity and key role in the family business.

| GUIDANCE |
In Matthew 28:19, Jesus commands us to "make disciples of all nations."
Our Father, please forgive us for our disobedience. This should be our consuming passion in life. Our greatest joy and delight. This is your life which you share with us. Please help us stay focused. For your dear Son and Kingdom's sake. Amen.
|
| PERSPECTIVE |
First, He calls us as He did the first disciples. Disciple making is our one true calling.
Then, He credentials us for our role. Not with a degree or a certificate recognized by a mere earthly government. But with a credential issued by the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. He confers upon us the high title "disciple."
As we are going, He converts us. Continually deepening, turning us around, drawing us closer, and using us more. Radically changing and transforming us as we lose and find our true life.
Finally, He commissions us to share His work. Bringing His Kingdom into being. On earth as it is in heaven.
|
| STRENGTH FOR THE JOURNEY |
This is the essence of Spiritual Formation.
We are transformed from top to bottom, inside, and everywhere else. We find our true heritage, destiny, loyalty, and service. As we are going, we learn to love Him more as we serve His family better. Nothing remote or self-serving here.
Disciple making, rightly done, is learning to live life completely and fully. Life rubbing life. Full contact engagement. Hugging others to Jesus.
Just as He does.
